He told me the name of each letter before he ate it.
A is for Apples!
I raided my "A/Apples" box at school and brought several activities home for Noah to do. He made patterns with the apple die-cuts, did apple sequencing cards, a puzzle, numeral/counting cards, etc.
Ten Apples Up on Top!
I read this story to Noah, and he put the numbered apples in order on top of his own head.
Noah LOVES my apple peeler, corer, slicer! He had a load of fun cutting up fresh apples for us to snack on and make applesauce with.
This is Noah's favorite way to eat apples!
We actually were not going to make applesauce because he will get to do that next year in kindergarten. After reading an apple book that talked about many different foods to make with apples, he caught on to that idea and begged for us to make some. Oh well. It won't hurt him to do it twice!
Noah and Daddy both loved the homemade applesauce.
A is for Apples, Alpha-bits, Ants on a log and Alligator!
This alligator took quite awhile to make, but it was well worth it. Notice the "A" mouth. I copied this guy from a step-by-step drawing I teach to my kindergartners each year.
We read an alligator book to go along with our alligator for dinner.
A is for Astronaut!
This same week, Papa and Maya took us to Oklahoma City for a few days. We went to the most amazing science museum I've ever experienced. It was worth the trip alone.
Papa and Noah
Daddy and Noah got to "fly" inside a space shuttle simulator.
This has nothing to do with "A" week, but I wanted to show it anyway. There is a blogger called "Muffin Tin Mom" that came up with the idea to serve her kids' dinner in a muffin tin. This is a simple yet fun idea. I bought character cupcake liners, and Noah likes eating his food from the food picks. Since this first one, I've tried several themed ideas for his lunchbox that didn't go in a muffin tin, but made lunch special. I'll post them later, but so far I've decided to make a cute themed lunch on Mondays and went with Cars and Spiderman. Try it out with your little ones.
The cutest Batman and Robin I've ever seen! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the glasses and cape Daddy!
