Today was the long-awaited day - our first day of school! Noah LOVES school and was so excited to be going back. He missed his school friends this summer and was really looking forward to seeing them again, especially his best bud Jackson! He got dressed in record time and was waiting on us for a change.
Oh my, how times flies! He was just a baby yesterday. How has he gotten so big!?
On our way to school, Noah began talking about going to kindergarten next year. He said that he wanted to be in my class. I explained to him that he wouldn't be in my class. He would be in another kindergarten teacher's class. He got all teary-eyed and said, "but Mommy, do they think I don't love you." Awwww! "Baby, of course they know you love me, but those are the rules. You can't me in my classroom." I went on further explaining why he couldn't be in my class. He then announced, "well then, I want to choose my teacher!" Well, ok. "Who would you choose?" I asked. "You!" he announced. Well, apparently, we need a few more talks on that subject, but we're both looking forward to next year when he gets to kindergarten. He wanted so badly to go this year, but hey, let's not rush it. He's still my baby.
