West Texas Fair and Rodeo

Friday night, we took Noah to the fair. We thought for sure that he would be able to ride the kiddie rides (especially since he's been able to everywhere else we've been to). Unfortunately, he was too short to ride any of them. So, next year should be his big year. Anyway, he did get to feed and pet the farm animals and play with the tractors in the Ag building.
We then headed to the rodeo. We thought he would enjoy seeing all the animals and cowboys. Oh my goodness! He didn't just like the rodeo. He was absolutely enthralled with it! He didn't blink an eye. He got to see the HSU 6 white horses, a rodeo clown, bucking horses and calf roping. I narrated as he watched so he could learn what everything was called. The rodeo was a big hit.
This morning, after he woke up, he found his cowboy hat and immediately began playing cowboy. He kept asking me for a big horse and telling me he wanted to fall in the dirt. Now, Marco and I are certainly not "western wear" type people. There are no wranglers or cowboy boots in this house, but I must say that my child looks mighty cute in a cowboy hat.

Noah saw his friend Owen from school.

Noah loved playing with the tractors

He wanted to watch the "big blue bear" from afar, until they offered him a sucker. It was all hugs then!
