Eclipse

The long-awaited release of Eclipse certainly called for a party! Luckily, my best friends all adore the books and movies just as I do, so we celebrated at my house with a movie-themed party. It was Movie Night with the Stars, and it included movie-themed games with prizes, movie theatre food and a viewing of New Moon.

my VIP guests walked the Red Carpet

Only movie theatre style food was served to coordinate with the theme - hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, pickles and movie theatre style boxes of candy. It was decorated with general movie/hollywood night decor and featured the cast of the Twilight Saga movies pictured as actors rather than characters.

I loved these cups and just had to use them at the party.

Why not throw in the coordinating paper goods?
I try to meet the needs of Team Edward and Team Jacob. :)

Just in case you're wondering, Miss Everlye is saying, "Team Jacob!"

Yeah, we scored Jacob and Edward as guests at our party.
Waiting in line for the midnight showing of Eclipse! This picture only shows a few people, but trust me, it was absolute craziness at the mall that night. They opened up all 10 theatres, and there were people everywhere! It was super fun to sit and visit with awesome friends while waiting. You might wonder why we would do something like wait in line for 4 1/2 hours to see a movie in the middle of the night. Well, why not? It's fun, silly, crazy and it makes for a memorable night. If I was all by my lonesome, it would have been a bummer, but with a whole groups of besties, it makes for a great girls' night.

Ok. It's a long story I won't go into, but we ended up going to not only the midnight showing at the mall, but the 10:00 showing later that same day at Park Central. We added a few more friends this time and even enjoyed yummy Twilight cupcakes that Brooke made special for Kristi's birthday. I'm thinking we were probably the only people that smuggled cupcakes into the theatre.

Our life group girls after the movie
Yes, it was just as good the second time around if not better!
