All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go!

We were heading out to Beltway's Christmas Eve service, so I snapped a few photos of my handsome little guy. We left a little early so we could stop by Mom and Dad's first to visit before going to church. While we were there, we got the message that the service had been canceled. So, this handsome little outfit that I had been saving made it to Grandmom's and back. Oh well, it made for a nice picture though.

After a few photos, the little turkey dropped to the floor in misery. Oh brother!

I did fanagle one more out of him. I asked Mom this year if Noah could use mine and Richard Wayland's childhood Christmas countdown tree. My Grandmother Walton made it for me after I was born and then added more ornaments when my brother arrived. It was a treasured keepsake and tradition our whole childhood. Mom fixed it up and repaired some worn and broken pieces. She even made him some new ones. I know Noah will love this tradition each year as Richard and I did.

Before bed, Noah had to put out the reindeer food.

Once Noah was dressed in his Christmas pajamas and ready for bed, we sang Christmas carols and read The Night Before Christmas. Noah helped me retell the story of Jesus' birth with his nativity figures, and Noah set out cookies and milk for Santa. If you look closely, you can see the milk mustache on his face, and then he made a good attempt at eating one of Santa's cookies. Don't you get coal for doing that?
