Happy Mother's Day!

We had a lovely Mother's Day today with my family. Before church, Noah surprised me with a few gifts, my favorite of which was the card (you'll see why later). After church we went to The Homeplace with my parents for lunch. It turned out to be a beautiful day so we snapped a few photos too.

I LOVE this adorable frame. My husband, er, I mean Noah, had to really think ahead. Noah painted the background, and Marco painted the embellishments. You can see Noah's little handprint on it too. I really love this gift and can't wait to proudly display it with a new photo. Thanks baby!

My sweet boy is such a joy, and I LOVE being a mom! Children are such a blessing and so much fun! Thank you God for my beautiful Noah. I don't deserve him, but I will raise him, treasure him, and teach him your ways. I will teach him that our Lord loves him even more than his Mommy and Daddy do. Wow! I can't fathom that kind of love, but I'm so glad God gives it freely!

Grandmommy and Noah
Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful Mom! I truly have the best mom. She gave of herself to my brother and I without ever being asked for recognition. She stayed up LATE making costumes, ran us to countless practices, games, etc., cooked us dinner every night, went without things she needed so she could provide for Richard Wayland and I, kept the house, kept the peace, worked hard all day, tucked us in at night, modeled a love for Christ and loved us even when we were brats! Believe it or not, I went through some rough patches in my life and was such a bratty kid sometimes. I'm sorry Mom for not appreciating you like I should have when I was younger. I'm sorry for saying and doing hurtful things. That seems like a lifetime ago, but I know you probably remember it all so well. Moms have such a wonderful yet hard job, and you asked for nothing in return. I love you Mom, and I know someday Noah will probably say or do hurtful things to me. I pray that I can handle it as well as you did and see him to the other side. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU MOM! If I'm half as good a mom as you have been, Noah is going to have it great!

I have some handsome boys!

All the pictures are great. I had a wonderful Mothers Day as well. And yes, I did raise two wonderfully, perfect children. Being a mom is sometime hard, but, you know, it is all worth it, every last minute. I heard from all my children today. Had a great lunch with Kathy, Marco, Noah & Daddy. I got a phone message, e-mail, text and facebook message from Richard Wayland. He did his best to get ahold of me but we kept missing each other. Thank you guys. I love you all so much.
