My love for the outdoors is really more of a tolerance most of the time. Unless it's perfect weather (75 degrees with a slight breeze), I'd much rather be inside. I have never cared for gardening or anything of that sort. It's probably because I detested bugs from an early age, and when you're outside, there's a huge probability you'll encounter a bug!
With that said, if you're a parent, you know that you will get out of your comfort zone and bend over backwards to provide for your children. That includes not only material and financial provisions but experiences as well. I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to provide my child with a wealth of experiences he can learn from and draw from as he grows. Well, with all this spill, you'd think I was preparing you for some grand experience, when in reality this is just one small step in hopefully a whole road of new ones.
Noah and I have dipped our finger into the gardening world lately. We've planted several pots of seeds, and have been diligent in watering our precious projects. This is obviously an everyday, very normal part of your lives I'm sure, but I, on the other hand, know NOTHING about plants. My knowledge pretty much stops on the kindergarten level. I literally teach my kindergartners everything I know in this department. Pathetic. I know.
Anyway, Noah has planted some green been seeds that actually started off really well but went limp as soon as we moved the pot outside. Our other two pots will hopefully produce sunflowers and zinnias. Here are a few pics of my little gardener.
