It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Yum! Oreo came out with peppermint cookies this year that were fabulous! They served as our traditional Christmas cookie treat while decorating the Christmas tree.

Noah helped decorate the tree (well, a little)

Fall Fun & Thanksgiving Too

Here's the meal I sent to school for my picky eater who was not about to eat the "Thanksgiving Feast" in the cafeteria at school.

Here is Noah's special Thanksgiving Feast on Thanksgiving Day.

Granddaddy got a BB gun out for Noah to do some target practice that afternoon.

Noah decided to make a huge leaf pile to slide into one fall afternoon. He raked and collected all the leaves by himself.

It's getting bigger!

bliss!

Halloween with My Little Monkey

We went with Plan B for Noah's Halloween costume this year. He wanted to be a police officer, but when his costume came in it was 2 sizes too big, so he's all set for his 1st grade costume. Unfortunately, that did me no good this year, so we went with a monkey costume on sale at Old Navy. He's cute in anything, so it worked out.
Here's my cute little monkey at the Pioneer Drive BC Fall Festival at the May Farm petting zoo.

October was so crazy busy, we hadn't really had time to do any fall activities throughout the month. So, the evening before Halloween, I had time to breathe and looked over the pile of things I had accumulated to do with Noah for Halloween and decided to do it all the next day. I set out a cute little display of all the fun for Noah to find the next morning.

It included . . . carving a pumpkin, making ghost cupcakes and popcorn monster hands, reading one of our favorite books, Five Little Pumpkins and doing a little art activity to go along with it, as well as checking out a new Halloween I Spy book.

Noah loves the Five Little Pumpkins poem, and he really liked making his own five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

We made popcorn monster hands and ghost cupcakes to take to family and friends that we visited for trick-or-treating that evening.

Noah was all about pulling the guts from our pumpkin. He even reminded me to save the seeds in order to roast them for Daddy.

Of course, it was pretty slimey!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Marco loves playing softball and has played and coached for years now. He also LOVED getting to watch and cheer for the Rangers during the World Series, so I decided to throw him a baseball birthday party. I originally had planned for it to be at the ballpark, and we would enjoy hitting the ball around while we were there. I had to come up with a Plan B the morning of though due to torrential downpour! It poured and poured and poured, and an evening at the ballpark was not going to happen. Plan B was formed, and we ended up at our home. Family and friends joined us for an enjoyable evening.

I made a few pennants starring Marco that added to the decor.

Ballpark food was served to coordinate with the baseball theme.

Take me out to the ballgame. Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts
. . . and cracker jacks.
I don't care if I ever get back!

Oh, it's root, root, root for the home team! If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the ol' ball game!

Apple pie and ice cream replaced the traditional birthday cake, and we sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" instead of the birthday song.
Get your peanuts! Cracker Jacks! Sunflower seeds!

I had the camera out at the beginning and end of the party and somehow didn't get pictures of any of the guests, but they were there! Lol! Thanks to everyone that came and enjoyed the evening with us. You didn't eat enough though, because we still have leftover corndogs and hot dogs in the freezer!

I made a few plates full of leftover goodies to give out at work. These could have been party favors.
