Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday was this past Thursday, and I had no intention on posting anything about it, but it was such a good day, I decided why not? It started off with a New Moon greeting on my door. My sweet friend, Debby, somehow knew that I like Twilight. I can't imagine how she knew, but somehow she found out and kicked off my morning in good way. Marco brought me breakfast at work, and then lots of goodies started arriving. My mom sent me a cute-pie Halloween creation and a yummy-smelling candle that I had wanted. My secret sis had a beautiful beaded basket full of neat surprises delivered to my room. Jean passes for work and a Sonic gift card rounded out my morning. Then, during my planning period, I received THE EMAIL. Yes, the most important email of the year announcing that the New Moon tickets were now on sale for Century Theatres. It was a good thing my kids were at P.E. or otherwise I would have just kicked them out the door and sent them packing so I could order the tickets. After a few phone calls to fellow Twilighters, I ordered 7 New Moon tickets and felt like I was on cloud 9! My Twilight friends, you know who you are, are well taken care of. Soon thereafter, lunch was delivered compliments of Debby again and then Marco arrived with ColdStone Creamery ice cream cupcakes for me and my kindergarten team to share. After school, I quickly dashed to Dittos for Kiddos where I (happily I might add) stood in line for an hour to get in. Tanya, a fellow Twilighter and Dittos fanatic brought me a coke to enjoy while waiting. So sweet! As the bell sounded, well, I guess it was more like the door just opened, but anyway, at 5:00, we were off! I enjoyed 2 hours of blissful shopping with other crazy Dittos fans and found a goldmine of dress-up costumes and books, toys, etc. for my special little man. My Mom, who is Mom-of-the-Year every year, came along with me just to tote my stuff around while I dived down aisles and grabbed what I wanted. It was then an hour more of waiting in line to check-out (not as happily as before, but not too bad either). When I arrived at home, my brother, grandmother, uncle Bryan, mom, dad, Marco and Noah were there to greet me. Noah was supposed to be asleep, but how could he possibly get to sleep when his mommy had not been there to tuck him in. I crept into his room, and he told me "I was so sad Mommy. I was so sad because you were not here. Please scratch my back and sing me a little song." No problem kiddo. I missed you too. After tucking him in, I was able to visit with the rest of my family, have dinner, cake and listen to Richard tell us all about his amazing mission trip to the Amazon. It was so good to see everyone and hear Richard's good news. Afterwards, presents were opened and my husband surprised me with a precious handmade card from him and Noah along with a Bernina sewing machine. Bedtime did not arrive until after midnight, but it had been a really good good day! Thank you to everyone for all the things you do for me, big and small.
