I took off of work on Friday so I could go with Noah to his school's Fall carnival. I'm so glad that I did. It was fun, memorable and great getting to see him with his friends. It was definately a crazy day, but of course, I felt right at home. I was fresh off a crazy Halloween-induced high with my kindergartners the day before. I really wish all those politicians would come spend an entire day or hey, how about a week, in an early childhood classroom before they decide on funding, classroom size, etc. Education would definately look differently if people that really knew what was going on were making the decisions. Anyway, it was a great day, and I even tucked back a few fun ideas for my kindergartners next year.
Noah and his best school buddy, Jackson
Noah and his classmates along with the two aides in his classroom
water guns to put the jack-o-lanterns out
popcorn monster hand
boiling worms -orange drink, gummy worms & pop rocks - boil, boil, yum, yum
My Noah - what a treat!
spiders bejeweled with glitter and sequins
There were sequins and glitter ALL OVER THAT ROOM! I'm positive that there were at least $40 worth of sequins on the floor at this point. I'm sure they'll still be finding the stuff next year!
making Frankenstein Jello - are you seeing a sugar theme here?
I'm pretty sure my child was given more sugar in 1/2 a day than in his entire life. As we were leaving he started pulling candy out of his grocery bag-sized goody bag. I told him no way. He was not having any more junk. He leaned back in his seat and whined, "I want more junk!" Geez!
