Weekend in Dallas

We went to Dallas for a long weekend and crammed as much stuff in as we could. We don't get the chance to go very often at all, and there's so many things that we've always wanted to do but have never had the chance to. So, this was that time to try and get it all in. Noah had a great time and between this past weekend and Great Wolf Lodge, Noah knows vacation is something he wants to be on all the time! It's hard to explain to a 3-year-old that you only get to do these things every once in a while and not everyday like he wants to.
We got to visit with RW one afternoon at The Parks Mall, which is my favorite mall in the DFW area. The carousel is always a must, and I think Uncle Richard secretly wanted to ride it as bad as Noah did.

It's a T-Rex!

digging for dinosaur bones at the Museum of Natural History - We also went to the IMAX theatre which is next door and got to see a video about coral reefs. We knew Noah would love getting to see all the underwater footage.

Downstairs from the Museum of Natural History there is a children's museum which is why we went to the museum in the first place. It was amazing and so much fun. The clean-up crew definately has their work cut out for them after all the kids leave.

giant water table = more fun in the children's museum

milking a cow?
I've never done that.

Firefighter Noah - This was right up his alley b/c Noah LOVES playing dress-up! He wants a costume for everything. Just this week he's asked me for Santa clothes, elf, otter, astronaut, horse, giraffe & bird clothes too!

JAWS!
Dallas World Aquarium

turtles & sting-rays

At the Dallas Aquarium, we found this cute little guy hanging out at one of the restaurants. Amazingly, he let us pet him and actually seemed to like it. He never flew away. We don't know if he got loose or if he was just a restaurant pet, put no employees were around.

shark alley
This was my favorite part. We walked through an underwater glass tunnel that was surrounded by sharks of various sizes. There were some sting-rays in there also.
We were able to catch the crocodiles being fed at the Dallas Aquarium. I've never seen a live crocodile that wasn't laying in the water like a bump on a pickle (until now).

My boys at Medieval Times - We decided to take Noah b/c he's been dressing up in his Halloween costume from last year (a knight in shining armor) and has been playing the part of knight for several weeks now. We knew he'd love getting to see the "real" thing.

playing in the frog fountain at the Dallas Arboretum

This looked like so much fun. Marco and I wanted to join in the fun also.

The Dallas Arboretum was beautiful.

Looks like you guys had a great great time. Tell Noah that Grandmimi likes vacation too.

You guys sure managed to get in quite a lot in just a couple of days.
