Spring Break in Oklahoma

Noah and I has a wonderful time in Oklahoma earlier this week. We played hard, relaxed & enjoyed quality with Maya and Papa.
On Monday, they took us to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. We got to see longhorns & buffalo feeding just feet away from the car. Noah also enjoyed getting to see & feed prairie dogs & ducks. Apparently, prairie dogs like grapes. We checked out the museum/information center for more wildlife fun such as skeletons, nests, deer antlers & other museum exhibits. Afterwards, we headed to The Meers Store for a hearty "country boy" meal. This was the kind of place that didn't have any fruit or salad within 10 miles. They, of course, did have ice cream which Noah was happy to help consume. In fact, Noah had dessert everyday we were in OK. He was definately living in GRANDPARENT LAND. After lunch, we checked out the Holy City where Noah's #1 lesson (from Maya I might add) was how to spot Buffalo poop.
Upon our return to Maya & Papa's house, Noah got to play outside in the pile of sand they put out there just for him. He even helped Maya shovel soil into flower pots so they could plant tomatoes, cilantro and onions.

On Tuesday, we went to the reservoir to feed the ducks and then to the base to see Papa. We bowled, Noah played on the playground and then we all went to the flightline to watch planes land and take-off. We were on the plane hunt all week long (well, I guess we haven't stopped yet). Noah is ALWAYS sure to spot any planes in the sky.

It was VERY windy that day. I think Maya & I ended up wearing more Cheerios than the prairie dogs ate.

How big is a buffalo Noah?

I need to get a closer look!

I swear Noah's response to all the bugs was EWE! He is my son afterall.

The turtle skeleton was the coolest of all. Even I was impressed.

Where'd the buffalo go?

Noah's question of the day . . .
WHERE'S HIS BOTTOM!?

We got to watch a real excavator at work on the base. It was actually really neat to watch.
