Instead of hanging out with Noah and doing chores around the house, like I usually do on Saturday morning, I had to go to work today. I have to have parent-teacher conferences for all 20 of my students b/c we don't do report cards after the 1st six weeks in kindergarten. So, I like to just get it over with in one day, so I sacrifice a day of personal/family time in order to get it accomplished. Well, 16 conferences were scheduled today, and only 9 showed up! Excuse me while I vent, but it AMAZES me how inconsiderate some people are. I gave up PERSONAL FAMILY time in order to accomodate other working parents like me so I can talk to them about THEIR kids, and they don't come. It was very disappointing and aggravating. I love being a teacher, but sometimes dealing with the parents is quite frustrating. Fortunately, I was able to come home to the most wonderful little boy in the whole world, and he just cheered me right up! I set up his workbench that I found at the Dittos for Kiddos sale Thursday night, and got all his new tools out to go with it. He loved it! He had a great time using all the tools and especially screwing and unscrewing the nuts. Noah is so much fun, and it just gets keep getting better.
Here are Lots of reasons why I absolutely adore my little man . . .Noah was perfectly formed by God and grew inside of me!
He is joyful and loving.
He dances, sings and lives each day to the fullest.
He sings in my ear, plays with my hair and gently touches my face as we cuddle before bedtime.
He quickly comes to me and apologizes when he's done something wrong (I could take a lesson from him).
Noah is adventurous and not scared of anything (except toilets that flush by themselves freak him out a little).
He is such a great shopper! As long as I bring a snack and drink for him, he is a trooper!
He LOVES books.
He wants me to kiss him 50 times before going to bed, and then calls out "I love you too" even though I haven't said it quite yet. He must be reading my mind.
Noah is sweet to his friends and gives lots of hugs.
He makes me forget bad days.
He runs to me saying "my mama!" when I pick him up at school.
He loves for me to sing songs to him that I just make-up.
He cuddles with me on the couch every morning before we have to get ready for the day.
He sometimes asks me if he's wearing underwear and then asks me if I am too ( it's a good thing too, or sometimes I just might forget!).
I can always count on him to carry in the 12 double roll package of toilet paper from the car.
He has an amazing memory and often blows us away with the things he recalls.
Noah is a blessing. He is pure joy and an answered prayer.
For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of him.
