The Cutest Little Cowboy at the Rodeo

With our little cowboy, we can't possibly miss out on taking him to the fair. He begs to go year round, so when it finally arrives, we have no choice! Of course, we love taking him! It's not the rides he's dying to go on though. He adores the rodeo.
This kid is crazy!
All dressed up, and ready to go!

Yee-Haw! Can we get a horse, Mommy?

This year, there was a distraction though. The girls sitting next to Noah thought he was cute stuff and took no less than 10 pictures of him. I really should have charged a fee. They talked and talked and completely distracted my little cowboy from the rodeo. Could this be signs of things to come? Maybe I should hog-tie him to his bed.

Great Wolf Lodge

My awesome parents splurged and took all of us to Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend for a big birthday celebration! My brother actually turned a whopping 29 years old this month! I can't seem to recall how old Marco and I will be, but I'm pretty sure it's too old! Anyway, we had a great time relaxing and splashing the day away at Great Wolf.

Daddy found that Noah was only slightly shorter that the "mark" for riding the really big rides. Noah was all for it, but we would have to wait for next year, unless we could be "tricksy." Marco put gel in Noah's hair and spiked it up as high as it would go to make Noah "taller." Off they went to the big rides, and it worked! Noah made it passed the height checker and even scored an armband that declared him "tall enough" for the big rides. Awesome!

Yes, we encourage an adventuresome spirit!

stylin'!

On Sunday, we were able to visit The Village where my brother attends church. Afterwards, we had lunch with several of my brother's friends we'd heard about but had never met. My Uncle James and his family even drove in from Farmersville to have lunch with us as well. Noah was enthralled with Samuel and insisted on sitting right next to him at lunch. He patted his back when he cried, picked up everything he dropped, tickled him and even drew him a picture. He wants a baby brother or sister so bad! He was definately practicing for "some day."

Open House

We went to the open house at Noah's school last week. He got to show us around, and we were able to meet the new aide in his room that we hadn't met yet. It's the same classroom he had last year but with a new teacher, Ms. Campbell. He's loving school as always.

Why I didn't get a picture of Noah with his teacher, I have no idea! I'll work on that next time.

The Homeplace

Ahhhh, The Homeplace. I love it. It's so homey (sp?) and relaxing. It's my favorite restaurant not only for the food but for the setting. It's always picture-perfect. We snapped a few photos while we were there recently on yet another beautiful day.

A Beautiful Day

We spent the day in Snyder recently and enjoyed a lovely day at the park with both of my grandmothers as well as my aunts and uncles from Snyder. We headed down to Towle park and staked out a nice covered picnic area. We had fun feeding the ducks that came to visit from the nearby pond, and Noah had a nice playground area to play in while the grown-ups visited with each other. We even discovered a spray park next door so Noah had great fun exploring that as well. It was a beautiful day and a nice time to visit with family. We were pleasantly surprised that all of our Snyder family could make it by to visit. I had my camera out early before everyone else arrived, so I didn't capture pictures of everyone. Nonetheless, we were delighted to spend an afternoon with them.
