Happy Birthday Noah!

Noah started out his day with a special birthday breakfast with his new Spiderman plate and cup. I thought about making cute little pancakes or something, but I know that my little guy's favorite is a brown sugar poptart. Noah has been all about the super heroes lately. He graduated from Elmo undies to super hero undies (sniff sniff) here awhile back, and he's been asking for a BIG spiderman to go with his BIG Buzz Lightyear and Iron Man. Well, they do not sell a big spiderman action figure in the stores right now, so I hopped onto Ebay to see what I could find. Sure enough I found one 12 inch spiderman (the same size as Iron Man and Buzz) for my little guy. He was super excited to find it waiting for him that morning.
I started a tradition last year with Noah, that on the morning of his birthday, he would have a porcelain cupcake waiting for him (that I painted at Mine by Design) with his breakfast that would contain a small birthday present to start off his day, since we don't really do presents until the evening. This year, it had a small vintage music box that plays "Happy Birthday," and two pictures of sea animals to tell him we were taking him to Sea World.

We drove down to San Antonio with Granddaddy and Grandmommy. Along the way, we stopped at Fredericksburg to walk/shop one side of the strip. We ate lunch at a fun outside patio restaurant that had a guy singing and playing the guitar. Noah loved watching and listening to the guy play. The weather could not have been anymore beautiful. It was perfect!

We found the neatest old-fashioned ice cream parlor and bakery in Fredericksburg. It had a great atmosphere and yummy treats! It also had a wide variety of wacky hats and sunglasses. We sported a flamingo hat, a crab hat, and here is Noah wearing the birthday hat and sunglasses since he was the happy BIRTHDAY BOY!

That evening we had a small birthday celebration with Noah at the hotel.

I surprised him with Spiderman cupcakes!

Uncle Richard was able to come along on our trip as well. He drove down and met us there from the metroplex. He went all out and bought Noah a Bat Cave along with the Batman helicopter, car, motorcycle and plane. Noah was in heaven, and Uncle Richard was having just as much fun!

Amazing! I can't get over how different the kids look over the span of one year. 7 months to be exact. Thank you, my dear, for the sweet comment! It is too cute when Bella tries to walk around in my heels. I also love it when she remembers stories about her friends Noah, Maddie, Wyatt, Truett, Carson, Liam and Britton. She will talk about seeing or playing with "my friends yesterday, remember?" she'll ask. Girl, I absolutely LOVE the construction theme, and may copy that idea for a future birthday, Sesame Street is in my bag, I have a few years yet to pull that one out too. (Backyardigans was my initial combined but changed my mind) Evan's first is a camping theme, Bella's Wonderland should be fun, the gift bags will be labeled "A very merry unbirthday to you!"
