Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Santa Claus was on his way, so Noah and I were busy little elves working away. Noah and I baked (no Pillsbury this year!) and decorated cookies for Santa. Of course, we couldn't forget about Santa's reindeer so Noah mixed up a batch of reindeer food for that evening. It was such a fun and nice day. We even had the perfect setting with a blanket of white outside our kitchen bay window.
baking cookies - what a mess!
I can handle a mess though. Let's decorate them!

I don't think we had enough sprinkles, but they look so yummy anyway!

Don't forget about the reindeer! Let's make reindeer food.

Of course you have to sample it first to make sure it tastes good. Every good cook knows that!

Winter Wonderland

My little munchkin woke us up on Christmas Eve and soon thereafter came running to tell us that it was snowing. Well, it certainly was! It snowed and snowed and snowed, and then it turned into a blizzard! You can't pass up playing in the snow in Texas because it just doesn't happen often enough. So, we quickly dressed the rascal from head to toe in multiple layers and headed outdoors. For some reason Noah has been talking for weeks about wanting to eat snow. He ate many handfuls that day. He and Marco had a great time throwing snowballs at each other while I just tried to keep the camera dry enough to take pictures. A snowman was attempted, but Noah thought throwing the snowballs at Daddy was MUCH more fun than building a snowman with them!
such joy!

Daddy showed no mercy!

Here goes Noah

great form

a little short on the delivery though

How can I be so blessed to have this adorable boy!?

By this time it was coming down so hard we could barely see each other. The next picture I took was a complete white-out.

Visiting Santa

We drove through the light display at the State School and let Noah go inside to see Santa. He told Santa what he wanted for Christmas (his one and only request every time we've asked him) - a scooter. I bet Santa can pull that off. :)

Yummy Treats

I couldn't resist posting a pic of the yummy cake balls I made for Noah's teachers. They turned out really cute.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Our sweet friends Britton and Miss Shellye invited us over for a Happy Birthday Jesus party to remind us of the true reason for the season. The boys enjoyed playing and then singing Happy Birthday to Jesus followed by yummy cupcakes. Thanks for having us!

This kid wouldn't miss a party for anything!

Weekend in Houston

Marco's cousin, Andrea, graduated from college in December and Marco and Noah were able to go down to Houston for the weekend to see her graduate and spend time with the family. I hear Noah had a blast playing with his cousins, especially little Lana.
